This project is a portrait of Jerry off of Tom and Jerry. I decided to make the portrait out of yarn because I thought it would look better with all the texture. Although it is not all the way completed, I think it has came along very well so far. I am very pleased with the finished product of the drawn Jerry. I took a risk to use yarn on the whole project and hopefully it turns out good.

This is the finished product of my perspective project of a busy city. I got my idea from the busy streets of NYC. The medium I used was pencil and shading. Some risks I took was trying to make graffiti on the alley walls because I wanted the city to look exactly like any other one. I really enjoyed making this project because it was my own ideas put together. The outcome of this project was a lot better than what I expected.

This is my rough draft of my perspective project. My idea for this project is to make this city block look like New York City styled with busy streets and lots of lights and signs.

This is one of my sketches of an optical illusion that has to do with perspective. I started out with a box with a circle inside with a horizonal and vertical line going through it. Then draw lines curving with the circle ending at the two points. after the circle is filled, you move to the box and make congruent boxes in the background.

This perspective project of the middle school hallway is in progress, and with a little bit more detail will be complete. The whole project is done with pencil and lots of shading. To finish off this project i'm going to add lockers on the right side between the door ways and add ceiling tiles and bricks on the walls. So far I have really enjoyed this project. It has helped me become a better artist and pushed me to do things I didn't know I was capable of doing with shading.

I used oil pastel to make this project which is a hay barrel in an open field of grass with the sun rising in the background. I used the idea of being able to see every line of color throughout the whole picture by Van Gough's Starry Night. I used texture throughout the whole picture so the hay barrel looks realistic and you can see how grass can look different and see the different colors of greens. I took the risk of using Van Gough's idea of seeing every streak of color and it turned out better than I expected. This piece of artwork is very simple yet has so much detail and texture to make it look beautiful.

The name of this project is Whats the point of love? I thought of this name because sometimes love can cause you more pain than happiness. A risk I took while making this project was i didn't know if it would look good to smear the outline of the heart and the break, but it tuned out very nice. I also made sure that I put texture in the stem of the rose. Overall I am very pleased with the outcome of this project. It's very simple yet so meaningful.

Sticky Situation

This project was based off the idea of a "sticky situation" and got the idea of a flower because the middle of a flower has pollen which is sticky. I showed contrast by making some parts on the flower darker than others such as the pedals are darker around the center of the flower. A technique I used throughout this whole piece of art is repetition. The pedals on the flower are all the same as well as the grass. A risk I did take was to try and mix two colors in the sky and pedals. I was worried that the purple would turn out too bold and overpower the blue in the sky. Also the purple and red in the pedals mixed very well and is balanced. Overall I liked how my project ended up looking and very proud of myself on how well I used watercolor.
